Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

children and overnight romantic partners

My ex-husband and I divorced last week, and the day after, he moved his mistress in with him. She has 2 children. I thought there was a law against romantic over night partners.

Re: children and overnight romantic partners

There is no "law" per se against living with someone to whom you are not married. However, many judges will restrain a parent from having overnight boyfriends/girlfriends when that parent's child(ren) are present.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
