Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My soon to be ex-wife appears to be in violation of our existing custody agreement. A single male has been spending a great deal of time around our children. While she is allowed to live as if though sole and unmarried, she is not allowed to introduce the children to a future love interest prior to our final agreement being put on record. She has a history of introducing at least one paramour to our children. Could her actions result in a change of custody if I can prove through the use of a PI that she is indeed wrongfully introducing the children to yet another paramour?

Yes, you can use her actions to attempt to obtain custody, if that is what you desire to do. However, the timing and approach of doing so can be tricky and should be well thought out ahead of time in conjunction with your attorney.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
