Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My husband, that I have been with for 14yrs, has just now told me that he never loved my as a wife, only as a friend. I'm disabled, have been since 1998, I don't make enough in SS to even pay for my prescriptions let alone any thing else needed to survive. My husband makes between 100,000 to 150,000 a year, would I be eligible for support and maintenance or alimony and other allowances?

Based on the information provide, you should be eligible. To get a better idea of what you would be entitled, please consult with an attorney as there is a lot more information needed to evaluate the probability that you would get it and amounts you are entitled to.

There are many factors that must be considered in an alimony case, but based on the limited information you provided, it sounds as though you will likely have a good claim for it from him.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
