paying child support for a child that is not mine, how do I stop this ? where to start

If you have been ordered to pay child support, then there is most likely a finding of paternity. Once that is done, you are legally the child's father. In other words, you only have one opportunity to request a paternity test, and it sounds as though that has passed for you.
