Legal Question in Immigration Law in South Carolina

My wife green card was issued in her maiden name, and social card in her married name. We are going to get the green card changed to her married name, she is concern that once she gets the new green card, the name will not match her Mexican passport and will not be allowed back into the states. Will this be a problem?
