Legal Question in Insurance Law in South Carolina

I have a step Mother, and step Sister. They will not give me any Information on my Fathers life

insurance policy, for he is recently deceased. Is there any way I can get informatin on the policy.

There might be numerous things you can do. I would strongly suggest contacting an attorney in your county that practices in Probate Court. You can look in the yellow pages and see what areas of law lawyers advertise and you can call the SC Lawyers Referral Service. You can also call the Probate Court in the county in which your father lived and see if they have a file opened there. You can inquire how to be notified if an estate is opened or any other matter is handled in in the Probate Court. Call them and explain your situation. And, by all means, be sure to contact an attorney in your area.
