Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Carolina

Security deposit

I gave a lady a deposit on a rental at the end of last month. I had just started a new job and was thinking things would smooth out by now but they haven't and unfortunatly we can not move in. My wife had a mini stroke and we have been back and forth to doctors for the last two weeks. I informed her of this and requested my deposite back and she is refusing. What are my rights in this situation?

Once advance given cannot be retuned but anyhow due to your health problem it is possible to get your advance back.
