Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

Disobeying a Police Officer?

Hi I I was denied entry to my hotel room at a security gate. I drove off from the security officer after following his initial instructions and was cited ny a police officer for disobeying a police officer about 7 minutes later after pulling up to pulling up to my hotel. My question is that even though the security officer could have been deputized can I be cited for ''Disobeying a Police Officer'' even though the security guard was not and could not be identified as a police officer but a security guard.

It would be helpful in answering your question if you could say how you know the security guard was not deputized. What county was this? Respond to [email protected]
