Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

Who may be held liable if an uninsured motorist, driving his step-father's vehicle (without permission), hits my relative's house? My relatives reside in Beaufort, South Carolina. Thanks.

It would "appear" that the person who was driving the car would be liable. But I don't have enough informtion to say for sure. I don't know if there was only one car involved in the accident, and I don't know the circumstances of the accident nor have I had the opportunity to see the police report. Your relatives should take the police report and consult with an attorney
