If I record my own christmas cds using traditional christmas karaoke songs, can I sell them to family and friends?

As a franchise attorney I can say this. If the karaoke songs are based on copyrighted songs, then what you are doing is called copyright infringement. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
