does the president have to be from one of the fifty states to be voted president

The president must be a natural-born American citizen who is at least 35 years old and who has lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years. But he could reside in D.C., Puerto Rico or another non-state territory. Note that people born outside the U.S. are sometimes American citizens from birth.
