If you are referring to the Acts of the Tennessee General Assembly, that is,

newly made laws that began as a "House Bill" or a "Senate Bill" and went through

the legislature and were signed into law, you will find them at:

Notice that after a bill becomes a law, it is assigned a "Public Chapter Number."

So you would look up "Chapter 79" and read:

PUBLIC CHAPTER NO. 79

HOUSE BILL NO. 785

By Representatives Matheny, Ragan

Substituted for: Senate Bill No. 308

By Senator Bell

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 57, Chapter

1, relative to the alcoholic beverage commission.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-234(a), is amended by deleting

subdivision (2) in its entirety.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-238(a), is amended by adding a

new subdivision thereto, as follows:

( )Alcoholic beverage commission, created by 57-1-102;

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring

it.

It extends the life of the Alcoholic Beverage Commission until 2017.
