Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

As a convicted felon who has served his time with both the state and federal government several years ago realize the importance of voting lawfully. Dates and times of the termination of these sentences is not a certainty. How do I go about getting my right to vote back, where do I start?

In short, it's complicated, because the rules have changed over the years. Going back as far as before 1989, it would even depend on whether or not the judge declared you "infamous" on the judgment form. There are different rules that apply during certain periods of time, so the exact date of the conviction, and date of sentencing, are important.
