Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

lega; name change

My 21 year old son wants to change his last name and possibly delete his first name . His legal last name is that of his natural father who divorced me and has no contact with my son. His dad did pay child support. My son wants to know approximate cost and steps he needs to take to change his name. My son wishes to change his last name to my maiden name.
