If you are in USA illegally, you cannot apply for USA citizenship. Maximum immigration benefit you can apply for at this time would be "permanent residency" (or green card).
You didn't provide enough information about your situation in order to advise you properly. - Who petitioned for you? - How did you come to USA? When? - When any petitions were filed for you (dates)? etc etc.
