Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Tennessee

I paid rent for a year in february and i want to move out i was wanting to know will the landlord have to give me my money back if no rental agreements or lease was signed

If there was no lease signed, then I think you do have a claim for return of the funds if you can prove that you actually paid them.
