Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Tennessee

Wrongful invoice legal rights

While checking my credit report, I found a charge for medical services from 2 years ago that had gone to collections. I never received a bill for this. This is a result from an incident when I lived in TN, where I was arrested for drunkenness and put in a ''drunk tank'' to sleep it off. I was never charged or ticketed for anything that night. I also never signed anything stating I wanted medical attention. I was in no way made aware, when I left the facility, that I was financially responsible for that service. I now live in IL. Was there any legal wrongdoing on their part or mine and what are my rights?

Re: Wrongful invoice legal rights

Well, you might consider putting in a call to whoever arrested you to find out who to speak with. If the incident occurred in Tennessee, I recommend that you contact an attorney in that state for further advice.
