Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

contract on realestate

I signed an offer on a home with a realtor and put up earnest money. My offer was turned down ,but no other offer had been made so I spoke to broker and stated I would sit on offer. I understand the property was just sold last week. I was not contacted by the realtor again. Should I have been notified of another offer and given the opportunity to make another offer since they still have my earnest money and my contract was not withdrawn by me?

Re: contract on realestate

If they did not sign your offer, and they accepted another offer, then yours was rejected. However, they cannot keep your earnest money so you should demand its return.
