minor child sues living parent for deceased parent estate for support

My sister died. She had a life insurance policy for 1,000,000 to ensure that her 2 minor daughters were financially taken care of -one has special needs. Her husband has now kicked 1 minor daughter out of the house because she doesn't get along with his girlfriend. She is living with me until she graduates from high school. Is there any way she can sue her father for a portion of her monther's estate to pay for her college?

With this amount of money involved, you should file a petition in court for a trust and guardianship to be set up so that the money can be protected until the children at least reach the age of majority.
