Legal Question in Workers Comp in Tennessee

signing papers for servance pay

my husbands work went out of business and he was given alot of papers to sign.before he will get any servance pay.he is under a workers comp doctor,and is more then lokely going to have surgery on his arm,from a accident he got two years ago,and the company just sent him to a doctor two weeks before they closed.should he sign the papers,since it mentions workers comp in them
