Legal Question in Disability Law in Texas

ok. I have a weird ? My sister-in-law is very upset that we have not given her legal custody of our Daughter if something should happen to us. When she was born we named our very close friends God-Parents, just for the simple fact that they have gran-children around her age. now nothing has been legally done it has just been verbalized. My sister-in-law says if something was tohappen to us she will not get custody they will. How can we re-assure her that she is family and since nothing has been written. She would get her. is there some kind of letter that we can sign and give her to put a end to this madness. PLEASE and THANK YOU !

You could prepare a Will that would help, however you sould also prepare guardianship papers should anything happen to you both where you could not take care of yourselves or manage your finances...naming who would take those responsibilities. In such, you can even state who you would not want in such a position.
