Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

default on contract

I sold a small vending business about two years ago. The buyer is behind two payments. Our contract states that if this happens I can take the business back. Is it necessary for me to hire a lawyer to proceed? Do I have to notify him or wait a certain amount of time before I foreclose? Do I need to notify local law enforcement before I remove his locks and replace them with my own?

Re: default on contract

You can't do any of those things without a court order unless he is renting your property. Hopefully, your contract will allow you to recover your business. Good Luck.
