Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Texas title insurance

We sold our house last year. In march our title company called and told us they underpaid us. They quickly sent us a check for this mistake. Then, last week our title insurance company called and said they had overpaid us and requested the money back. We are just wondering what our legal rights are in regards to the money. Do we have to pay it back?

If it isn't yours, you pay it back. And it sounds like it isn't yours to keep. Sorry, but you probably knew this would be the answer. I would possibly be wrong if the check they sent was labeled "Lottery Winnings."
