Re: recording conversations

Hello there,

In Texas it is legal to record a conversation as long as one party involved in the conversation knows it is being recorded.

So, if you are recording your spouse while the two of you are on the phone that is ok.

What is not ok is to hide a recording device somewhere to start recording other people talking or hiding a recording device to activate the moment someone picks up the phone. Those are examples of illegal recordings.

Different states have different laws so keep that in mind.

But, as long as the recording is legal you can use it in court in Texas.

Sincerely,
