Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Bad Credit Tx

My question is related to no paid debts. For reasons outside my will I had to move to Europe to work in the company I worked for 18 years, the rapid moved caused the unpaying of few credit cards, and the voluntary reposation of the car. Most of the debts are in Collection agencies, and others are cancelled. If I had to go to US for business reason, can I be arrested for delincuency in my bills? What can I do?

You cannot be arrested for nonpayment of civil debts.

Failure to pay federal income taxes and failure to pay child support risk jail time, and if either of these debts are included you should seek legal counsel.

Other civil debts can result in a civil judgement against you, but not arrest.
