Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

We received a legal document from our county courthouse stating that we have been sued. We do not know exactly what for and don't recognize the name of the Plaintiff. Should I call the Plaintiff's attorney to ask what this is regarding and who the original debtor was?

You should have been served with a copy of the lawsuit when you were served with notice. You need to hire a lawyer if the amount is of any significance whatsoever. You can call the lawyer but remember that you will probably be recorded and the lawyer is NOT on your side.
