Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Am I responsible for an unpaid medical bill made in 2005 while I was an inmate at Seagoville FCI and needed emergency medical treatment. I have a collection agency trying to collect and they have put a collection on my credit.

Did you get treatment? Yes. Then the bill is yours. You do not get free treatment just because you were an inmate. Now, you may be indigent and there may be some relief you can get but you need to contact the hospital directly. If you are not indigent, you will have to pay.
