Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

bad check

I recently received a notice in the mail notifying me that i had bad checks in a different county. i was alsot told that i have 14 days to pay or i would have a warrant out for my arrest. I told them i didnt write them . apparently, they were from over 6 months ago. Is there any way that they cant prosecute me because it was so long ago, they dont have my Driver's license number on them and because i live in a different county? Help me out if you can, my email address is [email protected]. thank you

Re: bad check

You need to respond to these charges because a warrant will be put out for your arrest.

You need an attorney to help prove that you didn't write the checks and you may have to employ a handwriting expert to prove this.
