Last Nov 07 I was charged w/ poss of cont. substance less than 1 gm. I was told that due to prior convictions (23 yrs ago) I am not elligible for probation. Is that true?

Re: Elligibility for probation

If you have a prior felony conviction you are not automatically eligible for probation. However, that does not mean that you can not get probation because some felons are placed on probation if a plea agreement is worked out and the state consents to you being placed on probation.
