Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Texas

Should I accept termination package

I am 62 and just terminated from my job after 17 years. I have some major health conditions but have been working at my job for the last two years at a lower level than before I became ill. My fellow workers basically assisted me on the job. I have been offered a separation package that pays my salary and benefits untill the 1st of December. Included in the package is a paragraph that says I cannot sue the company for ADA, age discrimination or anything else or I will lose my benefits. I need someone to advise me on whether or not I should take the package or pursue a suit in age discrimation and disability. Hope I a have provided sufficient information Thank You

Re: Should I accept termination package

You should have an attorney review the specific terms of the proposed severance with you, and advise you on any claims you might have and what you may be foregoing. This should not take, in most cases, more than an hour's time. Best wishes.
