Legal Question in Elder Law in Texas

I am an unemployed 62 year old widow with less than $100 to my name. My home is paid for as is my car. My son helped me with taxes this year but wants proof that when I am dead he and my daughter don't fight over the tiny money. I have health issues that will require extensive care in the future, Rheumatoid Arthritis, have no insurance and can no longer pay for medicine. I realize because I have a home and car that I would probably not be eligible for Medicare. What are my choices? I've been in this house for 34 years and would prefer not to live but Soc. Sec. doesn't support me.

You maybe able to apply for Medicaid benefits. You should speak with a Medicaid planner ASAP. There are ways to protect the house from a Medicaid estate recovery claim after your death, but you need to plan NOW.
