My ex and I were common law married. We went to the court and got a form declaring our informal marriage. We are no longer together do I have to get a divorce?

Did you ever RECORD the form (the one about the informal marriage) with the County Clerk? I assume that you did.

I will also assume that you and The Other One didn't have children together.

The answer is "no," you don't have to get a divorce. But if you don't, you are still married, and if you win the lottery and The Other One finds out about it, he's entitled to try to get part of the money.
