Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Myself and my now Ex gf dated and lived together for about 7 years. We had a somewhat peaceful split and i moved away. She cleaned out my bank account that we had together and i still felt sorry for her. I decided to keep the electric bill in my name because i knew she needed a little help. I talked to the electric company about a couple of weeks later and I told them i wanted it out of my name and into hers as i did not live there any longer. They told me they would set it up for her to come in and sign off one it. But she never showed, and after checking my credit recently i noticed a high bill that was left unpaid. Would i be able to get this money from her in any way?

You would have to sue her, and you would end up with a judgment that you wouldn't be able to collect.

You might send a letter (paper letter) to the credit bureau explaining what happened.
