Can a lawyer in texas lose his license for physically abusing his wife if the proper documentation is in place?

A lawyer can be disbarred upon conviction of a serious crime that reflects negatively upon the profession. I have not personally seen an attorney disbarred for Spousal abuse, but if the attorney is convicted, one could file a complaint with the State Bar and see what it wants to do. The first step, though, would be to get the DA to prosecute the crime and get a conviction.
