Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Part of my divorce settlement was a percentage of my ex spouse's salary continuation agreement with his employer. Well he quit his job before that agreement was to go into effect because he was offered a better position and much higher salary with another company. I feel that he benefited from this action but now I will not have the needed income from his agreement. Is there any way to legally remedy this?

It's tough to say what your options are without knowing how the settlement was incorporated into the decree and what the language includes. It may be possible to amend the decree to substitute one form of spousal support for another but I definitely would not approach that issue assuming he will consent to an amendment or that a judge would necessarily grant it. You should talk to a divorce attorney in your area.
