can my seventeen year old legally move out of my home

Maybe. A 17-year-old is no longer considered a runaway, since that is a status offense applicable only under the Juvenile Justice Code. Alternatively, there are often orders already in place regarding the child which restrict their residence. Additionally, they are not yet adults for the purpose of civil or education law.
