Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My son turns 18 in weeks and his graduation has already passed by. I have yet to be served child support due to his Medicad but I know that they are looking. Without being served will I be obligated to pay after his 18th birthday or not?

You could be ordered to pay up to 18 years of back child support. You can be served by publication, which means they can hit you for support with no actual notice to you. You're better off facing the music and going for 3 years of back support paid off a few dollars a month for maybe 5 years.
