Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Is there a time limit for a divorce that was filed three months ago in Texas when one side is nowhere to be found and happens to be an undocumented immigrant wife that when she abundant the marriage was pregnant and returned to Mexico where the child was born.

The only "time limit" has to do with how long the court will keep the file open before dismissing it on the Court's own motion. Some Courts will give you six months; some go a lot longer. If there's no action taken in a case for a certain period of time, the Court won't leave it open.
