Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Unauthorized Transactions

My ex-wife continued to use my bank card to pay bills after we were seperated and continued still after the divorce. This was just brought to my attention. What can I do to recover my money?

Re: Unauthorized Transactions

Read your decree. What does it say regarding undisclosed debts/assets? Was this information requested in discovery? Should you have known the account balance? Was the account awarded to you? You probably have a cause for enforcement and contempt. If the decree does not address the issues, you may need a clarification from the court. You may have to sue her to get your money back.

Re: Unauthorized Transactions

Any potential of recovery will be dependent upon the decree signed by the court and the language contained within. Dependent upon the language, you may be able to recover some or all of the money. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
