Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

hi my boyfriend/husband is in jail and we are trying to do a common law marriage but im not sure wat to do. i really jus need to know the age and i guess the time requirements you are to have supposed to live together...?????

The requirements are that you're:

1. Single

2. Over 18

3. Agree to be married (which may be inferred)

4. Hold yourself out as married.

If he's still in jail, you can get a ceremonial marriage. If that's not what you want, you can have a family or probate lawyer to document and register your common law (informal) marriage.
