Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I have received a phone call from a man stating that he was trying to serve me papers at my address and that it was considered a failed attempt. No one was served anything at my address, I was home all day. He did leave a phone number for me to call and a case number as reference. Do I call this person back or what? It was also mentioned aboput a default judgement if there was no reply.

It sounds like you're being sued. A process server is trying to deliver court papers to you. If you don't want to accept service at your house or office, you can have your lawyer make an appointment to have the process service meet you at your lawyer's office.
