Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

My H-1 visa 6 year will end after one month of baby delivery. As Need additional time in USA to finish new baby PIO/passport etc also to have baby grow till 3 month to have all vaccination done before going for international flight (India)

What are options I have to stay additional 1-2 months in USA? I heard staying after i94 expiry is not a wise option. How can i stay legally in uSA to finish above mentioned task.

Thanks for your comment in advance

Additional information

I got update that B2 VISA as valid option but please consider this scenario and try to help me

1) How many days before I94 expiry I should apply for change of status from H1--> B2?

2) From the day my application submitted I can not work & get paid any more or I can still work till I94 expiry date ? If this is the case I should submit status change application 2-3 days before my I94 expiry date?

3) If by the time I leave USA my application status remain in pending status, with USCIS, will this makes auto rejection of my application (as I leave USA) and my stay will be treated as Out of status since I94 expiry? Will this causes any future trouble for re-entry
