Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I have a question. I sent my N-400 form papers to apply for citizenship but was told I don't have the tax form ( the W-2 form) from one of my former employers. I was told I have to get in 2 weeks. Why 2 weeks only? I am very worried it might take a lot longer since my former employer doesn't care about any of her former employees

and I highly doubt she fill find my W-2 or make me a new one since I don't work with her now. Will my papers get cancelled or will I be penalized if I don't give them my W-2 form from my former employer soon? Can I be told to leave the country(U.S.A)? I entered with a passport legally in 1998, I am now a permanent resident trying to become a US citizen. My email is: [email protected]. I would appreciate your reply and not charge me for my question, Thanks,
