Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

Someone ran a red light and totaled my car last night. They sped away. But the police was able to locate their car not very far from where the incident took place. It was a new car. I had insurance. They may have not. The car was abandoned. Who pays for my injuries and car. I had liability insurance only

The police should have the name of the owner. You can get the name of the owner if you have the license plate.. You will need to put them on notice of a claim and asked for the name of their insurance company and make a claim against them for the amount of damage done to your car. I have an investigator who takes care of those things. If you were injured you might need to go to your doctor right away. Do not delay is your injury claim will not be believable if you do not get medical care

You also need to notify your insurance company that you have an underinsured motorist claim and that you have a personal injury protection benefits claim if you were injured. Do not be surprised if the owner of the car that struck you claims his car was stolen, or taken by someone he knew and driven without his permission, or that the accident did not happen like you say it did. If you do not want to hire a lawyer, you will need to do most of these things yourself. I take care of these things every day for people.. Call me at 713-629-1111.. If I can help..
