Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Should I continue working?

I am a salary plus commission employee. I was told my position was going to be given to a new hire. But the company wants me to continue working 100% commission because of the ''sales seeds'' I've layed towards my annually paid commission. No termination documents or agreements have been made. I do not wish to work 100% commission. Should I continue working? Would the change in title be considered termination or if I stop working as salaried employee, will it be considered quitting?

Re: Should I continue working?

Are you under any sort of employment contract? If so, you should scour the contract to see if this is addressed. Most likely, they'll fight you on unemployment if they've offered to keep you on a commission. As to whether or not to continue working, that's not a legal question per se (assuming there's no employment contract).
