hurt on a contract labor job working n logwoods

i was working a contract labor logger. i got hurt on the job they didn't have insurance. are they responsible for my medical expenses. i was hired to cut logs and my work day was over. iwa waiting for guys to put the equipment up and i got hurt doing something that i wasn't supposed to be doing and that i wasn't asked to do.

When there is no work comp insurance, the worker has to prove the employer or whoever caused his injury was negligent...to win compensation for lost time, medical expenses etc....if you were hurt thru your own fault...no one is oblgated and that is why we need national health insurance..like medicare
