Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

In my spare time I have been working on a website that helped people fly stand-by easier. I have received a letter from my former employer who has asked me to turn in all coding material and anything related to the site as "anything related to or effecting the business or industry". I believe this to be vague and that my site has no direct effect on the industry itself. I also know that all of the coding involved now is completely different than the coding used while at my former employer. Can I fight this?

yes..and call if I can be of help. However, you should know if u signed agreements prohibiting you from offering the same or similar services...but no lawyer could comment on probable success of the "fight" without reviewing the agrements, if any.
