Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

My friend was at a Sonic drive in sitting in her car. When the employee handed her the coffee she had ordered, the lid popped off (still in employee's hand)and the employee dumped it all on my friend. She is in the hospital now, with 1st and 2nd degree burns. She has been given morphine for the pain. Does she have a case against Sonic? They need to look into fixing the lids on the coffee. My friend's skin was stuck to her clothes it's awful!

That is horrible. YES! There may be a good claim against Sonic for a number of issues: 1. Issue with the lids, 2. Coffee was too hot, 3. Employee was careless in handing the coffee over, etc.

The best thing is for your friend to contact a personal inquiry lawyer. I offer a free consultation , our office is well experienced in burn cases.

I can be reached on my cell: 512-827-7548.

Your friend may indeed have a claim against Sonic for their employee's negligence in spilling the coffee on your friend. You should have your friend set up a consultation with a personal injury lawyer.
