Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

My son was crossing the street in a cross walk & a lady hit him w/ her car. he went to er & left w/ a sprained ankle. His dad told him to pay the hospital bills & let her insurance reimburse him. It doesn't sound right that he should pay when he is the victim. What should he do?

You should discuss your case with a lawyer. There are too many variables that you haven't mentioned. Health insurance? Medicaid? CHIP? Most injury lawyers will meet with you to discuss your case for free. My advice is for you to meet with two or three lawyers and hire the one.

correct..why should a medical provider wait for possible payment? her insurance may never payand such claims are not slam dunks..
