Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Delinquent Taxes

We purchased our home from an individual on a Contract for Deed four and one half years ago. We found out this week that the property is up for sale because of back taxes. What is our recourse to save our home?

Re: Delinquent Taxes

Pay the back taxes IMMEDIATELY. That will stop the sale. Also, file a copy of your copy of the contract for deed in the real property records in the county clerk's office in the county in which the property is located.
